Jan set up Singles Socials on Valentines Day in 2023, because of her own experience as a newly single person at the age of 55. In her own words - "I found it pretty damn hard, most of my friends were in relationships and I often found myself feeling like the odd one out. Let's be honest no one likes to play the third wheel all the time! I hadn't been single since the age of 16 and my how things had changed in the dating game!

There were now App's and Online Dating, no one really seemed to do dating the old-fashioned face to face way anymore. I found the dating Apps challenging (that's putting it mildly) and from what I from my clients nowadays things have gotten a lot worse!"
Jan's key roles still include her being the first person you see when you walk through the door at one of Singles Socials events, as she can still remember what that felt like. Her main focus nowadays is as an accredited matchmaker working with clients to help them find love again. Jan enjoys working with clients to rebuild their confidence to enable them to successfully date again.
